Clonmel Interfirms League

Well done to both teams entered in the Interfirms. Both teams finished in the top division with Formulae 5 being knocked off the top spot in week 3 to second place. Well done to the Formulae 5  team of Tommy Falconer, Martina O'Dwyer, Patrick Roche & Diane Behan. Team Younique (Catherine O'Donovan, Jackie Dunne, Mick O'Shea & Ann Cronin) finished in 6th place. The last race in this series is the individual event - Race to Zero this Wednesday night. Good luck to all the Carrick runners in predicting their time.


Marine Climb
The Marine Climb took place in Dungarvan on Friday last, a hill runners delight, with 5 of the 6 miles being on the incline. Sandis Bralitis won the race in 33:24, Clonmel's Angela MacCann took the ladys prize in 39:47. Brian Murphy was Carrick's first runner home in 34:29 and took third prize with it. Patrick Roche (39:04), David Waters (39:30), James Fox (39:48), Mark Connolly (41:07), Tom Egan (42:27) and Mick O'Shea (52:35) all took on this hilly challenge. It is the first in the Ger Wyley Series which West Waterford AC host over the summer months. Next is the Butlerstwon 10K on Fri April 23rd at 7.30pm.


Indoor Championships
The Carrick on Suir team finished in third place overall in the Tipperary Masters Championships on Friday night last. Three gold medals, a silver and a bronze secured third place for the team.
Men Over 45 Long Jump: Ger English 1st.
Men Over 60 Long Jump: Bernie O'Neill 1st
Men Over 60 60m: Bernie O'Neill 1st
Men Over 40 60m: Willie Morrissey 2nd
Men Over 60 Shot Putt: Bernie O'Neill 3rd
Men Over 45 1500m: Martin Ormond 5th
Men Over 45 Long Jump: Martin Ormond 4th
Tommy Falconer narrowly missed a medal in the Senior Men 800m event, finishing fourth in 2:18.

Paris Marathon

Well done to Andrew Downey who recently completed the Paris Marathon in an excellent time of 3h 16m.

Fit4Life Update

Cork City Marathon 2010 Relay Event
 
Following on from the success of last years trip to the Cork Marathon the club will again enter relays teams.
