County Senior Road Championships

The Tipperary Senior Road Championships will be held on Sunday next, April 5th, in Borrisokane at 12 noon. The men's race will be over 10k with four to score for each club team while the ladies' race will be over 5k and three to score. All club members over 20 years of age are eligible to run in these races and we hope to see as many of our runners as possible on the day. Last year saw William Hughes (Thurles Crokes) and Dymphna Ryan (Dundrum) take the respective county titles.

New Club T-Shirts and Singlets

The new-look Carrick AC technical T-shirts are now available at a price of €15 from Catherine O' Donovan at the club's regular Tuesday evening training sessions. Orders for the new club running singlet are now also being taken by Alan Treacy at Outfield Sports. These high quality singlets are being subsidised by the club and will cost club members only €20.

Club Training

This week's training session will start from the Davin GAA Club on Tuesday March 31st, at 7 pm. For the following three Tuesdays we will train over the race route for this year's Faugheen 5k, giving runners a great chance to familiarise themselves with the course before the race on Friday, 24th April. James O' Sullivan will be on hand at all of these training sessions with expert advice on how best to approach the 5k challenge.
