Interval Training For All !

Carrick AC is delighted to announce a new, structured series of interval training sessions with experienced fitness coach, James Sullivan. These sessions will take place on the brand new track facility at the Sean Kelly Sports Centre, commencing this Tuesday, January 13th at 7pm and continuing every Tuesday for the months of January and February.  Runners of all levels will be catered for during these sessions with special attention being given to novice runners and beginners.  Interval training workouts alternate periods of higher-intensity exercise with periods of lower-intensity recovery. Research has shown this form of exercise burns more calories and increases fitness levels over a shorter period of time than just simply doing the same thing for your full workout time. An interval session is also a welcome and enjoyable break from the normal running routine of most runners. So, whether you are a current member, a past member or are completely new to running, you will be very welcome at the Sean Kelly track on this or any Tuesday evening.
