Road Race Reports 
 
The road race scene continues to be very busy with a large number of races over various distances to choose from.Carrick AC runners have been prominent in some of the most recent events:
 
The Kilmore 10km race in Co. Wexford on Saturday evening last  attracted a strong field of athletes.The men's race was won in 33:04 by Tom Hogan (Racing 795) while Angela McCann (Clonmel AC) took the ladies' race in a new course record time of 37:02.There were three Carrick AC athletes in the field.Patrick Roche came home in sixteenth place in a time of 37:14 with Tommy Falconer just behind in 33:28.Martina O'  Dwyer was the fifth lady to finish, clocking 39:02.
 
At the Michael Cahill 5km race in Ballingarry, Clare Annan put in a fine run to be third in the ladies' race with a time of 19:27.The ladies' race was won by Margaret Danagher (Templemore) and victory in the men's race went to Pat Hogan (ferrybank) in 15:40.
 
Tommy Falconer had another good run on Sunday in the Danesfort 10km race, finishing third in a time of 38:24. Mark Connolly finished this race in 42:12.

'My Dress' One-Mile Challenge
 
The 'My Dress' One-Mile Autumn Challenge continues every Tuesday evening at the Sean Kelly Sports Centre.This series provides the ideal opportunity for anyone who is interested in taking up jogging/running as your time for the mile will be recorded each week and the challenge leads nicely into our Winter league over 5km.The mile starts at 6:30pm each week and all are welcome.
