Carrick Road Runners Athletic Club, Co. Tipperary, Ireland

Prestige Lighting Fit-for-Life

The Prestige Lighting-sponsored Fit-for-Life programme again drew a good turnout of runners to Kildalton College,Piltown, on Tuesday evening last.On a beautiful evening for running, some groups took in the 10-kilometre route which will be used for the Morris Oil Piltown 10k in July.Other groups took a shorter route through the college grounds and around by the school.
All are welcome to join any of the groups each Tuesday and the emphasis is, as always, on enjoyment.Complete beginners, novice runners and more experienced athletes will all find a suitable group with which to meet 'n train.

C.F.R. Course

Five Carrick Roadrunners were among a group who completed their Cardiac First Response course at the Heritage Centre, Portlaw, on Saturday last. This course was especially relevant for our club as we have only recently acquired a defibrillator, courtesy of Boston Scientific,Clonmel. Many thanks to Brian Nugent and the Portlaw Branch of the Red Cross for providing this valuable training. Our club members who participated were Daragh Byrne, Susan Collins, James Fox, Catherine O'Donovan and Mark Connolly.
