Poulmucka 8km Road Race & 5km Fun Run (1930hrs Friday17May 2019)
The Poulmucka 8K road race 5k Fun Run 2019 took place at Poulmucka on Friday 17 May last. Well done to our two winners Eugene O’Keeffe 1st o/50 30.58 andMargaret Power 1st o/60 39.42 in the 8K race. Also well done to our members who turn out large numbers to take part in the two races, In the 5K race running well wasJackie Dunne in 29.18and Ber Glascott in 30.20,In the 8K we also had the following, Eugene O’Keeffe (1sto/50)in 30.38, Benny Hahessy in 30.41, Andrew Downey in 32.58, Mary Molloy in 35.47, James Fox in 36.38, Mary Kelly in 38.41, Deirdre Power in 38.45, Margaret Power (1st o/60)in 39.42, Tina Walsh in 40.40, Sinead Dunne in 40.40, Catherine O’Donovan in 42.22, Yvonne Power in 42.55, Sinead Blackmore in 44.52 and Mary Fitzpatrick in 45.40, well done everyone. 5k Race winners (male) Jerry McCarthy in 18.25 (female) Ali O’Connor, Clonmel AC in 20.25. 8k Race winners (male) Jimmy Boland, Clonmel AC 25.57 (female) Angle McCann, Clonmel AC 30.42
Splashworld &Tramore Athletic Club 10K (1900hrs Friday 17May 2019)
Splashworld 10k 2019 road race hosted by Splashworld and Tramore Athletic Club took place at Tramore on Friday 17th May, our sole representative Miguel Ponce De Leon ran very well around the 2 lap 5k course to finish the 10K in 41.06, well done Miguel. Race winners (male) Liam Stack, Ferrybank AC, 34.44, (female) Ruth Fitzgerald, Waterford AC 37.05
Buttevant 4 Mile Road Race Buttevant Running Club (2015hrs Friday 17May 2019)
The Buttevant 4 mile road race 2019 took place at Buttevant, Co. Cork on Friday 17 May, this was a one lap 4 mile course with start and finish overlapping by 1 km approx. with a large field of over 300 runners, Patrick Roche ran well to finish in 8th place in 23.58, Well done Patrick.
Stoneyford 10KChallenge, Stoneyford Parents Association (1130hrs Sunday 19 May 2019)
The Stoneyford 10k Challenge 2019 took place at Stoneyford on Sunday 19 May, with monies raised for the local primary school, our club had two competitors taking part and running well, Eugene O’Keeffe in 39.11 and John Carroll in 41.13, Well done to both athletes. Race winners: (male) Brian Maher, Kilkenny City Harriers in 32.00 and (female) Erika Dowling, Kings River AC in 39.57.
