THE WALLS OF FETHARD 4 MILE ROAD RACE 2019
The Walls of Fethard 4 mile road race got under way last Thursday night 23th May with proceeds donated to the Children’s Ward in the South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel, our club had 7 members supporting this road race, well done to all our members who all ran well. Benny Hahessy in 9th place in 23.08 Barry Torpey in 25.06 John Carroll in 25.07 Mary Molloy in 26.31 Tina Walsh in 29.50 Derek O’Dwyer in 32.03 and Ann Cronin in 32.41. Race winners: male, Paddy Cummins Moycarkey Coolcroo AC 19.19. female Angela McCann Clonmel AC 22.59.
Touraneena 5K Road Race (1930hrs Friday 24May 2019)
Touraneena 5K road race 2019 took place at Touraneena, Co. Waterford on Friday 24th May, this event hosted by West Waterford AC had almost 200 runners taking part, Well done to Bernie Sexton who ran an excellent race to take first o/55 prize and well done to our following members who all ran well. Deirdre Power 23.38, Bernie Sexton 26.17 and o/55 winner, Derek O’Dwyer 26.30, Mary Fitzpatrick 27.45, Ger Houlihan 28.02, Sean Dunne 28.24, Jackie Dunne 29.33 and Ber Glascott 30.02. Race Winners: male Noel Murphy Waterford AC 15.55 female Sally Forristal St Joseph AC18.25
Angela Burns Memorial 10K,Ferrybank GAA & Camogie Club (1900hrs Saturday 25 May 2019)
The Angel burns memorial 10k road race 2019 took place at Ferrybank on Saturday 25th May. Well done Eugene O’Keeffe and Miguel Ponce De Leon who travelled to Ferrybank GAA Club to take part in this race, Eugene O’Keeffe ran very well to finish in 4th place time 40.13 followed by Miguel Ponce De Leon crossing the line in 46.03. Race Winners: male Adam Porter 35.28 female Maria Griffin 43.08
