Munster 4 Mile Road Championships (1343hrs Sunday 03March 2019)


The Munster 4 Mile Road Championships 2019 took place at Dundrum, Co Tipperary on Sunday 03 March 2019, this event washostedby Dundrum Athletic Club and results managed by Munster Athletics.

This was made up 2 races with Novice, Senior and Master Categories, thewomen’s race was held first followed by the Men’s race.

We had 4 runners in the Master Men’s 4 Mile Road Race, the overall winner was John Kinsella, Bilboa AC, Limerick.

Our runners representing Carrick on Suir Athletic Club and Tipperary was Patrick Roche 41st overall12th o/40 and last and final scorer on 3rd placed o/35 Tipperary Team next was Eugene O’Keeffe 69th overall and 6tho/50, John Carroll 73rd overall and 10th o/55 and Miguel Ponce De Leon 75 overall and 15th o/45, Well done to all Athletes

Kilsheelan 10 Mile Road Race Club (1000hrs Sunday 10March 2019)


TheKilsheelan 10 mileroad race 2019 got under last Sunday the 10th march, Race winners were Gary Scully, Nenagh in 57.25 and Angela McCann Clonmel AC 1:04:25. Our Club had a very successful day with three category wins,Michael O’Sullivan finished 1st o/45 time 1.04.25, Eugene O’Keeffe 1st o/50 time 1:07:22 and John Carroll 1st o/55 time 1:08:.39. Also well done to our other athlete who all ran well, Benny Hahessy in 1.07.22, James Fox in 1:14:41, Eileen O’Connell in 1:26:18 and Sinead Dunne in 1:27.49. Well done to all


Déise College Dungarvan 10K, West Waterford AC (1100hrs Sunday 10March 2019)

The Déise College Dungarvan 10K 2019 hosted by West Waterford AC took place at Dungarvan last Sunday 10 March, Frist man home was John Fitzgibbon, Thurles Crokes AC in 33.18 and Frist Women was Sally Forristal, StJoseph’s AC in 37.43. Our sole representative in this race was Miguel Ponce De Leon, Miguel ran well to finish in 41.55 Well done Miguel


Duhallow 10 Mile Road Race Duhallow AC (1330hrs Sunday 10 March 2019)

Jimmy Power made the almost 2 hour journey to Newmarket, Co. Cork to take part in the Duhallow 10 Mile Road Race 2019 on Sunday 10 march, Race winners were Hiko Tonosa, Dundrum South Dublin AC in 52.19 and Aoife Cooke, Youghal AC in 56.47, Jimmy Power in o/55 category ran well to finish in 1:31:15 and collect the finisher Medal. Well done Jimmy.
