Ber Glascott flying the club colours completed the Fairview parkrun (Dublin) last Saturday 17th November and being the fastest in her category, time 30.04 Well done Ber
Beat the train for DSI (Down Syndrome Ireland) (1000hrs Saturday 17November 2018)
Last Saturday 17th November,‘Beat the Train for Down Syndrome Ireland’ took place on the Waterford greenway, the 10-mile race had over 300 competitors taking part which included racing the train with Monies raised going to the Waterford and South Kilkenny Branch of DSI(Down Syndrome Ireland). Race winners were Raivis Zakis, West Waterford AC in 57.18 and Ruth Fitzgerald, Waterford AC in 59.20, Our Club had some very good performances with Ray Bourke finishing in 105.14, Seamus Ward in 1.13.48, Deirdre Power in 1.24.02, Margaret Power in 1.24.20 and Derek O’Dwyer. Well done to all our athletes for taking part and supporting this charity event.
Stook 10 mile Road Race Gowran AC (1200hrs Sunday 18November 2018)
The Stook 10 Mile 2018 road race took place at Dungarvan Village, Co. Kilkenny last Sunday 18th November, this is hosted by Gowran AC and Young Ireland’s GAA club to raise funds for their juvenile squads, race winners were Gary O’Hanlon, Clonliffe Harriers AC in 51.16 and Lizzie Lee, Leevale AC in 1.00.37, both breaking course record, this was challenging hilly course with very good performance from Miguel Ponce De Leon in 1.11.15, John Carroll in 1.12.36 and Tina Walsh in 1.27.31, Well done all
