The popular Outfield Sports Three-Counties Summer Series moves to county Kilkenny on Friday next, July 16th, with the staging of the third Morris Oil Piltown 10k race.Piltown is about three miles from Carrick-on-Suir just off the main road to Waterford.The race will start at 7:30pm at the main entrance gates to Kildalton Horticultural College.The first mile and a half of the race route will be within the scenic grounds of the college.After leaving the college,the race continues in the direction of Fiddown and completes a left-turning loop over quiet country roads before returning to the college grounds and finishing on the main avenue.The course provides an excellent opportunity of achieving a PB for the distance- last year's winner, Sergiu Ciobanu, clocked a time of 30:33.
Race registration (from 6pm ), parking,post-race refreshments and prize-giving will all take place at Piltown GAA Club's complex which is across the road from the race start.
