Annerville 10K
The annual 'Clonmel 10K' was held on 7th May, a course change eliminating the dreaded hill and a huge charity element (Cystic Fibrosis) saw 327 complete the course. Sergiu Ciobanu of Clonliffe harriers was the overall winner in 30:46 while Siobhan O Doherty of Borriskane knocked out a superb 34:31 to take the ladies prize. 
First home for Carrick was Tony Kenny – finishing 8th overall in 35:00. Brendan Cronin and Anne Cronin - both took prizes in their age categories.

John Treacy Classic
The John Treacy Classic 10 mile road race was held in Villierstown, Co Waterford on Sunday May 15th last. While Philip Harty of West Waterford was the over all winner, Brian Murphy of Carrick AC ran well to finish in second place (54:52). Martina O'Dwyer took third place in the Ladies competition, within a sniff of running legend Catherina MacKiernan who was the first lady home. Seventeen Carrick runners competed on the day, there was 280 runners in total on the day for this course which saw several miles on the incline.

Waterford to Tramore
Pauline Lambe and Sandis Bralitis were the winners on the night over this tough 7.5 mile course. Eight Carrick runners took to the road. Martin Murphy was first Carrick runner home in 54:36.

Tom Jordan Memorial
The Tom Jordan Memorial 5 mile race was held in Portlaw on Saturday night last. It was a great night for Carrick AC, Martina O'Dwyer won the ladies race and Brian Murphy took the mens title. Well done to both Martina and Brian who are having an excellent year. Tara O'Donnell and Brendan Cronin also won in their age categories.


Fit4Life
Fit4Life is drawing to a close for 2010 but not silently – the last night will be a fun orienteering event followed by refreshments and presentation of prizes. There will be plenty of freebies up for grabs on the night – all club members and Fit4Lifers are invited to attend. Kildalton College 7pm Tuesday 1st June 2010.

Congratulations to James Fox on his recent run in Kilkenny where he finished 3rd in the 10K race but unfortunately went home empty handed. Well done also to Anne Cronin and Tony Kenny who ran on the day.
