Winter League Break
 
The Supervalu Winter League has seen large numbers of athletes participating every Tuesday since mid-October. Seventy-eight lined up in perfect conditions for last week's run.This week's charity run in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland is the last for 2009.We are very grateful to all those who have helped out with stewarding and recording of times.Remember,there will be five more runs after the Christmas break so you will have plenty more opportunities to lend a hand.
 
                 Ballycotton '10'               
 
The hugely popular Ballycotton '10' mile race will take place on March 21st next and entry remains open to all AAI members until December 15th. Entry forms are available from Alan in Outfield Sports and due to the huge interest in this race it would be advisable to get your entry in very quickly.
 
            Waterford AC Half-Marathon 
 
Many of our roadrunners have been upping their weekly mileage of late in preparation for Saturday's Waterford half-marathon. A very large field is guaranteed for this race and we wish all our runners the best of luck.
 
          Christmas Party Night  
 
There may be a few weary limbs and blistered feet at this year's party in the Strand Bar on Saturday night as it coincides with the half-marathon.But what better way of relaxing post-race? Tickets cost 5euro and a great night is guaranteed.
