 Carraig Hotel Deadman's 5

The final race of the Outfield Sports/Asics Three Counties Challenge returns to Tipperary this Friday, August 7th, for the fourth running of the Carraig Hotel Deadman's 5-mile road race. This year's race sees a number of firsts, including a new start line in front of the beautiful Ormonde Castle. This allows the race to proceed through the Main St. of Carrick and Sean Kelly Square before meeting up with the usual route and finishing as in previous years beside the Town Park.
Chip timing will be in use for the first time in a race organised by Carrick AC. The race will have our biggest prize fund yet with E250 for the first man and woman as well as a course record bonus and the usual category prizes.
Our sponsors Asics will provide free gait analysis at race HQ, Carrick Swan Hall, from 5pm with trained running experts in attendance. Entry is E10 and there will be T-shirts for all who have completed three of the four series races.Post-race refreshments and prize-giving will be in the Carraig Hotel where a special B&B rate is available to runners.
All told it looks like being a grand finale to this year's series- for further information please ring Alan (051-641826) or Mark (086-1608165).

A group of club members will meet at Ormonde Castle this Tuesday, Aug. 4th, at 7pm to run the race route - all are welcome.
