 Waterford-Tramore Race

The annual Waterford-Tramore road race attracted a huge field of 350 runners on Friday evening last. The 7.5 mile course was quite a challenge in the blustery conditions, but this did not deter Tommy Evans of Gowran AC who won the men's race in 38:36.Carrick AC's Brian Murphy made a welcome return to action and produced a great run to finish in second place ahead of Frank Quinlan (Waterford AC). The Carrick trio of Michael Murphy,Tommy Falconer and David Waters took the men's team prize by finishing in 7th, 11th and 12th positions respectively. Our first lady to finish was Jackie Power in 55:32.
