Super-Valu winter league
Tuesday November 2nd will be registration night at Kildalton college, Piltown as the Super-Valu winter gets underway. Registration will take place from 6.30pm and all levels of runners are welcome, runners can run the 5k course to get themselves familiar with it but wont be timed on the night. Each person will be assigned a number which you will use each night that you run, it costs €5 for your number and it is €3 per week thereafter. If you can't make it the first night don't worry as you can join any week, and a reflective bib is essential for every runner.
Dublin City Marathon
October 25th 2010
This year Carrick Road Runners had eleven athletes competing with good results which I'm sure they will all be happy with. Brian Murphy had another great performance to add to a very successful year for him he finished in 2hr29, in a position of 31st overall and 15th in the National Marathon Championship. Daragh Byrne 2hr55 (240th), Johnny Brunnock 2hr59 (378th), David Waters 2hr59 (397th), James Fox 3hr02 (466th), Seamus Ward 3hr20 (1154th), Raymond Bourke 3hr30 (1992nd), Tom Egan 3hr32 (1993rd), Paul O'Donnell 3hr37 (2328th).
There were two ladies Jackie Power who finished in 3hr55 (3942nd) and Ann Power 3hr57 (4146th).
