One Mile Challenge is back !
The one mile challenge will take place on Tuesday 14th September at the Sean Kelly Centre track and will be held every Tuesday ,21st ,28, until 5th October. It is an ideal course for anyone looking to improve their fitness or for the complete beginner who is thinking of taking up running.You can run, walk or jog the course registration is at 6.30pm and race will start at 6.45 sharp.Again this year the we are delighted that the one mile challenge will be sponsored by My Dress of Carrick-on Suir . We would encourage all club members to give the mile challenge a go as it is a great way of building speed and strenght for the Super Value winter league in November.
Michael Cahill 5k Classic 3rd September 2010
Last Friday three Carrick AC runners made their way to Ballingarry for the 14th annual 5k classic. The race was won by Martin Bradshaw (Bilboa) 15.54, the ladies race was won by Diane Behan (Waterford AC)18.42.
15th Patrick Roche (17.49),23rd Brendan Cronin (18.14) ,57th Matt Greene (21.51).
