Carraig Hotel Deadman's 5 this Friday night
The Outfield Sports Three Counties Challenge kicks off on this Friday 11th June at 7 with the Carraig Hotel Deadman's 5. Registration on the night is in the Swan club hall from 6pm. Always a popular race, ideal for beginners and experienced runners, we hope to see some of the Fit4Lifers who have made so much progress in the last months participate on the night. It is the first in a series of four races, technical running t-shirts will be awarded to anyone who runs in any three of the four races. All races will be chip timed. All club members are encouraged to participate, anyone who is unavailable to run but would like to help for any of the events please contact Mark at 086-1608165.

Clashmore 5 Mile Road Race
The Clashmore 5 mile road race which is part of the Ger Wyley series ran over the summer by West Waterford AC was held on 28 May 2010. West Waterford's Sandis Bralitis won the race in 25:00 and Pauline Lambe of Tullamore Harriers won the ladies in 29:45. Michael Murphy was first home for Carrick in 28:52, finishing 6th overall.

Fit4Life Fun Orienteering competition

The last night of Fit4Life was held on Tuesday last 1st June. To mark the final night for 2010 a fun orienteering competition was held followed by a party and prize giving. Thanks to all who participated and helped both on the last night and throughout the last few months. The winners on the night were Barry Torpey and Gordon Collins, Barry - an experienced 'fun orienteerer' and Gordon completed the course in 31 minutes. Well done!


Emer Casey 10K

The Emer Casey foundation ran their annual 10K on May 23rd last. Well done to Michael Murphy (35:14) and Mark Connolly (41:42) who travelled to Youghal for the event.
