John Joe Barry 5K – Carrick Ladies continue winning streak.
Shane Mullaney of Thurles Crokes and Angela MacCann of Clonmel were the overall winners of the 5k race in the Commons recently. Carrick Ladies had a great night taking four prizes, all that training is paying off!

Munster Championship - Track and Field - More gold for Martina!
The Munster Senior Track & Field Championships were held recently at CIT Cork. Representing Carrick Road Runners were Martina O'Dwyer and Tommy Falconer. Martina took the gold medal in both the 800m (2.31.83) and 1500m (4.56.86), another superb achievement for Martina. Tommy secured a PB of 4.42.76 in the 1500m.
Wexford Half Marathon
Congratulations to club members Linda Fahy, Fiona O'Meara and Michelle Foran on their recent performance in the Wexford Half Marathon. On a hilly course the girls did excellent times Linda (2:03:22), Fiona (2:08:52) and Michelle(2:11:01) – potential candidates for the 26.2 mile Dublin Marathon in October .
An Evening With Champions
The 2010 John Treacy Classic the organisers have just announced, for one night only, ‘An Evening With Champions’ with John Treacy, Eamonn Coghlan and Catherina McKiernan at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday 15th May in the Town Hall Theatre, Dungarvan. Tickets are limited and are €10.00 for adults and €5.00 for students and all of the proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Concern Worldwide’s Haiti Appeal.
