W.I.T. 5k Road Race
There were 164 runners in the W.I.T. 5km road race in Waterford on Friday evening last. Sandis Bralitis (West Waterford AC) was the winner in a time of 15:31, just ahead of Trevor Power (Waterford AC) . Three Carrick AC members took part with Aaron O' Donnell our first finisher in a time of 18:09. Seamus Ward clocked a time of 19:31 and Tom Egan finished in 20:16. Well done to all three.
Spring Training in Faugheen
With less than three weeks to the first race in this year's OutfieldSports.ie Three Counties Challenge, our spring training programme moves to Faugheen this Tuesday, April 8th at 7pm. The Bobby Fitzgerald Accountants Faugheen 5k on Friday, April 25th will kick off this year's series and runners will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the race route over the next three weeks. There will also be some very useful advice on how best to approach the race for runners of all abilities from running coach, James Sullivan.
