Mount Juliet Half-Marathon and 10k
 
Carrick AC's Martina O' Dwyer enjoyed a fine win in the ladies' half-marathon at Mount Juliet on Saturday last. Martina covered the challenging course in 1:25:20. Elaine Walsh was delighted with her time of 1:57;13 in her very first half-marathon. In the 10k race, Tommy Falconer finished in fourth position with a time of 37:00 and our Winter League winner, Josephine O' Dwyer, ran a great race to finish in 54:58. Well done to all our runners.
 
Bausch and Lomb 5-mile
 
A total of 193 runners took part in the annual 5-mile road race in Kilmacthomas on Sunday. Victory in the men's race went to Sandis Bralitis (West Waterford AC) while Jackie Carthy (Kilmore AC) took the ladies' race.Carrick AC's first finisher was David Waters who clocked 28:53 and finished in twelfth place. Derek Walsh (29:18), Michael O' Connell (30:15) and Tom Doherty (32:38) all ran very well also.
 
Fit-4-Life
 
The club's Fit-4-Life programme continues every Tuesday evening at Kildalton College, Piltown, starting at 7pm. All are welcome to come along and enjoy the benefits of group training.
 
Club Membership
