Clonmel Half-Marathon

There was a field of over 400 athletes for the Boston Scientific Half-Marathon in Clonmel on Sunday last and four Carrick AC members took on the challenge. Andrew Downey is showing good form as he prepares for the Dublin City Marathon in October and he was our first finisher in 1:26:46. Michael O' Connell and Seamus Ward are also experienced marathon runners and it would be no surprise to see them on the start line in Dublin also. Michael finished in a time of 1:27:44 while Seamus came home in 1:38:09. Geraldine Houlihan was our only lady representative in Clonmel and she wil be well pleased with her finishing time of 2:13:49.Well done to all our runners.
