AN TOBAR ARDMORE 5 - 13th AUGUST 2010
The last race of the Ger Wyley summer series was held last week in Ardmore Co. Waterford,Friday 13th is a day considered unlucky for some ,but it did'nt affect Carrick AC runners as Brian Murphy came 1st (25.36) in another convincing win out of a field of 205 runners.He held off tough competition from Ravis Zakis( West Waterford) and Martin Bradshaw (Bilboa Co. Limerick). Michael Murphy finished in 7th place in a time of 28.07 ,14th Tommy Falconer (28.38),27th David Waters (29.38), 29th Patrick Roche(29.38), 31st John Nolan (29.53) ,33rd Martina O Dwyer (29.58), 93rd David Foley (34.16), 105th Raymond Burke (34.58), 109th Paddy Brunnock (35.33), 116th Matt Greene (36.01), 156th Paul O Donnell (40.06), 170th Berni Sexton (42.20).
Martina O Dwyer had another good run finishing under the 30 minutes and three of the men picked up prizes for first man home under their star signs (Michael Murphy,Tommy Falconer,David Waters).
