Tullamore Half Marathon Quinlan Cup Half Marathon (1100hrs Saturday 25 August 2018)
Tullamore Harriers Quinlan Cup Half Marathon 2018 took place at Tullamore on 11 O Clock Saturday morning 25th August. The event hosted by Tullamore Harriers athletics club started with almost 1000 runners outside the Harriers club sports ground on a 13.1 mile course with a few minor drags and hills on a warm sunny day, itfinishes with 1 lap of the 400 metre race track on the carriers sports ground, race winners were David Flynn, Cloniffe Harriers AC, time 1:08.44 and Caroline Donnellan, Edenderry AC time 1:24.18. Patrick Roche put in a fine run to finish with a time of 1:24.25, Well done Patrick
Boston Scientific Half Marathon. Clonmel AC (1000hrs Sunday 26August 2018)
The Boston Scientific Half Marathon 2018 got underway last Sunday 26th August.With almost 800 runners taking part,this is a very popular annual event which is hosted by Clonmel athletics club. Race winners were Kevin Maunsell, Clonmel AC in 1:07:14 and Linda Grogan, Dundrum AC 1:28:24. Our club had six representatives taking part in this event, Aaron O’Donnell lead the club to finish in 1:22.:15, followed with fine runs from Jeffrey Brophy in 1:24:17, Eugene O’Keeffe in 1:32:47, Brian Graham in 1:35:03, John Carroll in 1:38:35 and Mary Molloy in 1:48:01.
