Cork Athletics Graded Track & Field Leagues 2018(2000hrs Friday 20 July 2018)
The Cork Graded League, track and field, round 4, the final round for 2018got under last Friday night 20 July at Cork Institute of Technology. The event had 800 metre 200 metre and 3000 metre races, Patrick Roche ran his 1st 800 metre to finish in 2.20.06
Tipperary County Senior 10K/5K and Junior 3K (1230hrs Sunday 22July 2018)
The Tipperary County Senior Road Race Championships 2018, 10k/5k and Junior 3K took place at Dundrum Village on Sunday 22 July in Very Sunny warm weather. The Junior race got under way first and winners were Nuala Fitzgibbon, Thurles Crokes AC in 12.08 and Ben Coughlan, Mooreabbey Milers 10.33. The Women’s 5K and Men’s 10k started simultaneously, the winner of the women race was Madeline Loughnane, Thurles Crokes AC in 18.37and the men’s race was won by Dennis Shanahan, Thurles Crokes AC in 34.19. Carrick on Suir AC had 6 runners taking part in the 10K, Patrick Roche finished in 38.03followed by very closely by Michael O’Sullivan in 38.06, also running very well was Jeffrey Brophy in 39.00,Andrew Downey in 39.56John Carroll in 43.45 and Barry Trophy in 44.25. The Carrick on Suir AC Team finished in 4thplace in the A section which is great encouragement for our club to make a push to get into a top 3 team medal position in the future. Well done to all our runner for taking on this race in very warm weather conditions

The Iverk Produce Piltown 10K Road Race 2018 takes place at Piltown GAA on Friday 27th July, Race starts at 7.30 pm just across the road from Piltown GAA at Kildalton College, and finishes on the hurling pitch, refreshment and parking available at Piltown GAA, Race Entry is 10 euro
