Coillte 10K Road RaceDundrum Athletics Club (2000hrs Wednesday04July 2018)
The Coillte 10K road race took place at Dundrum village on Wednesday 04 July, the 10k race hosted by Dundrum Athletics Club started in the village with the course made up oftwo 5k laps and finishing in the village invery warm weather conditions, Race winners were Freddy Keron Sittuk Raheny Shamrock in 31.42 and Siobhan O’Doherty, Borrisokane AC in 35.27.Our club had 4 athletes who took on these warm weather condition, first finisher for Carrick on Suir AC was Raymond Burke in 38.57 followed with fine running from Miguel Ponce De Leon in 40.44, Deirdre Power 51.11 and Margaret Power in 52.45. Well done all.
Mooneys Bar Rás na Rinne6 Mile West Waterford AC (2000hrs Friday 06July 2018)
Mooneys Bar Rás na Rinne6-mile road race went ahead on Friday evening 06 July at 8 O Clock. The race hosted by West Waterford Athletics Club started on the road outside the village of Ring, Co Waterford and takes in the beech for almost 4 miles, before returning to the road to taking in the finish line. Race winners were Kevin O’Leary, East Cork AC, time 31.51 and Madeline Loughnane, Thurles Crokes AC, time 36.33.the first finisherfor our club was Patrick Roche in 5th place time 34.04 and 1st o/40 also running well Benny Hahessy in 9th place time 37.18 and 1st o/45 and Mary Molloy running very well to win o/40 time 44.16. Well done to all three athletes.
