StoneMad Half Marathon, Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. (Saturday 16 June 2018)
The Stonemad Half Marathon 2018 got under way last Saturday the 16thJune, this is a scenic race, starts at Fenniscourt Lock, going along the river Barrow and finishing at Graiguenamanagh, Co Kilkenny. Race winners were Joe Lillis, United Striders in 1:22:51 and Laura O’Driscoll in 1:31:19. Our sole club member Brian Graham completed the Half Marathon Running very well to finishing 8th place in a time of 1:37:30. Well Done Brian
Dave Fogarty Memorial 4 Mile Road Race, Thurles Crokes AC (Wednesday 20 June 2018)
The Dave Fogarty Memorial 4 Mile Road Race 2018 hosted by Thurles Crokes Athletics Club took place last Wednesday evening 20th June at Thurles,Co. Tipperary, Race Winner were William Stephens, Coolquill AC in 21.10 and Siobhan O’Doherty, Borrisokeane AC in 22.50. Patrick Roche finished in 8thin 22.41 and winning 1st o/40 prizeand followed with fine running from James Fox in54th place in 29.54.
Dungarvan Leader Dromana 5 Mile, West Waterford AC (Friday 22June 2018)
The West Waterford AC hosted Dungarvan Leader Dromana 5 Mile Road Race 2018 took place last Friday 22 June,the 5-mile road race is A to B Crouse that starts at Villierstown, going through scenic countryside to finishes at Cappoquin, Race winners were Sean Curran, West Waterford AC in 31.02 and Julie Kenneally, Youghal AC in 34.39. Well to our club members who ran very well, Raymond Burke finished in 15thplace in 31.02 and Benny Hahessy 25th place in 32.52
Pink Rock 10K St. Joseph’s AC (Sunday 24 June 2018)
The Pink Rock 10K 2018 road race hosted by St. Joseph’s athletics club when ahead in very warm sunny conditions last Sunday 24th June, race winners were James Ledingham, Kilkenny City Harriers in 34.11 and Sally Forristal, St. Joseph’s AC in 38.41. Carrick on Suir AC had two athletes taking part, Miguel De Ponce Leon ran well to finish in 26th, time 42.34 followed by some fine running by Mary Molloy in 47th time 47.01.
