Munster Senior & Master Track and Field Championships 2018 got under way at An Riocht Athletics Club at Castleisland last Sunday 10th June, Carrick on Suir Athletics Club had two athletes representing the club, Richard Phelan competed in the 100 metre o/35 race, winning silver in a time of 12.32 Richard also took part in the long jump to win gold ino/35categoryhis distance of 5.41 metre is the longest overall leap in masters on the day, Later on that evening Patrick Roche took part in the 1500 metre o/40 race to win his first track race, taking his 1stgold medal, his time 4:35:85
