Carrick on Suir Athletics Club at Irish Life Master Indoor Championships 2018
Two national Bronze Medals won at the Irish Life Master Indoor Championships at Athlone IT last Saturday 10th March
Richard Phelan (141) Finished 3rd and winning Bronze in the M35 Long Jump, his result was 5.50. Richard also ran well in a very competitive field in the M35 60 metre to finished 7th in a time of 7.79 sec.
Patrick Roche (249) competed in the M40 1500 metre race to win his first national medal, a Bronze Medal in a new PB time of 4:32.76
Inis iron Meáin 10k, Aran Island
Inis iron Meáin 10k road race got under way on the Aran Islands last Saturday, Sinéad Blackmore Travelled the long journey to take on the very tough hilly course,
she ran very well to finish in a time 1hr 07min, well done Sinéad.
Kilsheelan 10 Mile Race
With 2 great 1st place category wins by James Sullivan in o/50 and Michael O’Sullivan in o/45
Kilsheelan 10 Mile Road Race went ahead on Sunday 11 March, Carrick on Suir AC Road Runners had strong representation,
1st to cross the line for our club was James Sullivan 1st o/50 in 6th place in a time of 59.33
next with strong run in 9th place and 1st o/45 was Michael O’Sullivan time 1:02:46
Followed by good solid runs by Eoghan Coughlan in 16th place time 1:05:57,
Benny Hahessy in 20th place time 1:06:32,
John Carroll 44th place time 1:12:05
and Mary Molloy in 57th place her time was 1:15:34
West Waterford AC Déise College Dungarvan 10k
Déise College Dungarvan 10k got under way last Sunday 11 March
Miguel Ponce De Leon was our sole representative at the Déise College 10k at Dungarvan
Miguel product a fine run to finished in 20th place, his time of 41.32 is a new PB for Miguel.
