Munster Senior and Master Indoor Championships (Sunday 14January 2018)

Last Sunday on the 14 January the Munster Senior and Master Indoor Championships took place in at Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Carrick on Suir Athletic Club had a strong representation, In the Senior Category Jack Pender ran well in a time of 7.66 secs to take 5th place in the 60-metre race. Jake Vermeer took second place with a time 24.28secs in the men’s race, RoseAnn Fitzgerald had a decisive win in the Women’s 200 metre race, her was time 26.37. In the 0/35 Category, Richard Phelan in completive field finished 4th place in a time of 7.81 secs in the 60-metre race. In the o/40 category, Patrick Roche competed well to finished 2nd in the 3000-metre race, his time was 9.53.19 and Patrick finished 3rd in the 1500 metre race in a time of 4.41.06, In the o/50 Category John Carroll ran well and finished in 4th place in the 1500 metre race his time was 5.27.88

 

St Pauls Parish Frank Leahy 5 mile (Sunday 21 January 2018)

On Sunday 21 January 2018 at St Pauls, Waterford City a field of 151 Competitors took part in St PaulsParish Frank Leahy 5 mile road race, representing Carrick on Suir AC, Brian Murphy ran very well to win the race, winning time 26.45, followed by fellow club member Miguel Ponce de Leon who put in a fine run to finished 37th place

 

SuperValu Spring League Week 2 3K (Tuesday 16 January 2018)

The Supervalu Spring League week 2 3k distance took place in sleety windy conditions last Tuesday night, well done to all for braving the tough winter weather.

Next Tuesday 23rd January Staring on Week 3 the remaining six weeks of the spring league will be run at 4k, Runners can form or can be assigned to teams of three, the teams will compete on their combine predicted time each night for these 6 weeks, Registration is from 6.30 O Clock at James Sullivan’s, beside Junction bar and the 4k run starts near the Hospital at Lower Ballylynch at 7 O Clock.
