Club AGM

Our club AGM was held in the Carraig Hotel on Thursday night last and resulted in the election of the following officers :

Ladies' Captain: Catherine O' Donovan
Committee members: Brendan Cronin, Emmet Russell, Barry Torpey, Johnny Brunnock, Daragh Byrne, Mags Power,Alan Treacy, Jacqui Dunne, Shirley O' Shea
With another busy year ahead, our energetic committee has already commenced planning our various events.The help of our members in the organising and stewarding of our races would be greatly appreciated, so just let any committee member know if you can lend a hand.

Supervalu Winter League

Last Tuesday night we had a very successful 'predict-your-time' run with a large group of runners crossing the line as the clock reached zero. Experience paid off on this occasion as Joe Gough , a veteran of many a Colligan Wood countdown, successfully finished in his predicted time of 19 minutes.Valerie O' Callaghan had the most accurate prediction among our ladies to take first prize.

Next Tuesday, December 8th , will be our final run before Christmas. All proceeds on the night will be in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland so we would ask all runners to be generous in support of this worthy cause .There will be a mass start at 7pm for this run and league points will be at stake.You can see your league points total at registration every week .


European Cross- Country Championships

The European Championships will be held in Santry Park, Dublin, on Sunday December 13th. Half-price tickets (10euro) are available to club members. Just give your name to Johnny Brunnock if you wish to purchase tickets.
