Training Session with James Sullivan

On Tuesday 19th May, 26th May and Tuesday 2nd June, the Tuesday training session for club members will be held in carrick on Suir as we prepare for the Deadmans 5 race on Friday 5th June. We will meet with James Sullivan at 7 pm in the library carpark in Carrick on these dates and James will do a variety of routines such as a tempo run and interval session on these dates.

Summer Series Event 3: Deadmans 5 Mile

The third event of the Carrick AC Summer Series in 2015 (The Deadmans 5 mile) will take place in Carrick-on-Suir on Friday 5th June at 7.30 pm.

Tuesday 21st July and Tuesday 28th July: We will meet at the entrance to Kildalton College in Piltown and do the 10K circuit.

Carrick AC is proud to announce its new-look running programme for this Autumn and Winter. This structured programme offers something for all - from the complete beginner who just wants to get started while availing of the best advice to the more seasoned athletes who wish to improve their running technique and times.
 
The first phase of the program (over 3 weeks) will commence on Tuesday evening, September 1st, at 7pm on the Sean Kelly Sports Centre running track. Expert running coach James Sullivan will help new runners to get started over one mile and advise them on their running style. More experienced runners will complete interval training sessions to sharpen up their speed.

Winter League (Fit4Life Phase 3)

The third phase of Carrick AC's Autumn/Winter Fit4Life training programme will see the return of the always popular SuperValu Winter League on the grounds of Kildalton College, Piltown. This year's eight-week league will get underway on Tuesday, October 20th at 7 pm. The league is held over the very safe, well-lit 5km route on the college avenue which has been used in previous years.
