Super Valu Winter League

The club's popular winter league series will start on Tuesday 1st October at 7 pm in Kildalton College with a registration night (followed by a training run which will not be timed). The league then continues for the following 10 weeks on Tuesdays at 7 pm through to Tuesday 10th December. All are welcome to take part in this series where 2.5K and 5K circuits can be completed each week and the results for each night will be posted on our website by the following day after each run.

The 2014 running season commences for Carrick AC members with a series of club training sessions in Kildalton College at 7 pm. Training will continue on Tuesday nights throughout this year and the venue will be Kildalton College until the evenings get brighter. Details of these sessions will be updated on a weekly basis on our website - it will include sessions with running coach James Sullivan, Clocked 'Back to zero' 5k sessions, hill training sessions amongst others.

  • Tuesday 21st January saw the start to this programme with an interval training session with running coach james Sullivan.
  • Tuesday 28th January saw club members organise an interval training session for club members.
  • Tuesday 4th February had to be cancelled due to very poor weather conditions.
  • Tuesday 11th February saw running coach James Sullivan conduct a hill training session with club members.
  • Tuesday 11th February saw club members organize a hill training session in Kildalton.
  • FROM FOUR TUESDAYS (FROM TUESDAY 25th FEBRUARY TO TUESDAY 18TH MARCH), A 'CLOCKED TO ZERO' 5K EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE  IN KILDALTON AT 7 PM.

There will be no weekly charge to attend these sessions but they are restricted to club members - hence, we are asking all that come along to join the club for 2014 for €30 which will cover attendance at all Tuesday sessions up to the 2014 Winter League.  In addition, club membership will enable you to enter other county races at various dates during the year free of charge - a number of these are already listed on our fixtures calendar for 2014.

As the clocks will be going forward on the weekend of 29th April, the session on 25th April will start at 6.30 pm while the session on 1st April will start at 7 pm. All are welcome to these social runs to help all prepare for the summer season.

All are welcome to these social runs and a training session with fitness coach James Sullivan will be provided on the 8th of April for club members.
